So, after days of rain....we finally have blue skies :]

....and we now have mushyrooms....

....and we have slugs.And we have a dog that would chase the frisbee until she dropped dead.

Tonite is my night. I can just sit back and relax and catch up on the blog rounds and everything else happening in the world. Troy is closing the store tonite, so it's just me and puppies....and one devil cat.

Can't wait until Saturday! Troy actually asked me if I would like to take a drive out to Crestview, FL, to go to the scrapbook store out there! I almost fell out of my seat :] It will be a nice break from the long workweek, that's for sure. And since the past 3 weekends have been ultra sucky...it will definitely be a nice change.

Last week was also not a good week. We had some family issues going on that we were in the middle of. Troy's car needed a new tire immediately (that was a nice little expense. oy.). The air conditioning decided it was going to give us fits - so, we had to call a AC guy and since it was the weekend, we got a nice little charge for that. And then, Troy was out using the weed*eater and got a little to close to the wires for the cable and internet and cut that off. oy. I'm glad that week is over with.

This week started off bad for me - but, yesterday and today were a huge improvement and I'm finally getting some calls closed out. Plus, only 2 more days this week and then next week for work...and I'm off for like 12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANNOT WAIT! I so need a break. I only wish Troy could take some time off and we could actually go somewhere.

The new mojo challenge is up. Actually, has been for a while - but, I've been slacking on the blogging lately and am just now posting my whole layout for it.

Not much else that is newsworthy that I can think of. Just two more days until the weekend!!!!

Its been a rough one.

But we got through it.

Somehow, someway.

My day was pretty much the norm for the weekend. House got cleaned and all dirty clothes got laundered. Such a chore that I hate.

Do you ever get in those moods where even though you have gotten new scrap stuffs....you go and sit down at your desk and just feel so overwhelmed with all the stuff laying around that you say...forget it. And you go watch tv? That's been me the past 2 weeks. geez. I hate it too. I'm one of those people that loves organizing and loves everything to be nice and neat and in its place...and my scrap area has SO not been that way for a while. It seems I rarely ever time these past couple of months to sit down and do some serious scrapping...so, then when I finally get a few hours to myself (like today)....you settle down with a glass of ice water and you sit there waiting to figure out what am I going to use....what picture.....then you decide to get some pictures uploaded and send them off to be printed. Go pick up said pictures. And still....nada.

Such is my life....

So, I started organizing this afternoon. And I think tomorrow, I am going to find some kind of organziational thingy or a pegboard or something to control this mess.....wish me luck :]

Here's a thank you card I made for my mom. She is making me the most beautiful quilt for my birthday!!!! I SO can't wait to see it done. It is SO beautiful. All Amy Butler fabrics that I just love ♥ !

Troy has been having to close the store the past few nights. So, its just been me and puppies. I miss him. So, I think I will take him out for breakfast tomorrow :-)

Last night, I watched the movie Con Air (the scrap room got to me last nite too...lol)...man, oh man. What a terrific movie. Nicholas Cage has to probably me one of my favorite all time actors. He and John Travolta pretty much rock my movie world :] If you have never seen "Family Man" with Nicholas Cage - you pretty much need to sit down and watch that one too. Oh yeah..and Troy and I saw "Batman" this week. Now, you have to understand something. I'm not by any means a person that is into comics...it took alot for Troy to get me to sit down and watch Spiderman. But, this movie. Wow. I was totally into it! Heath Ledger played the joker frightening well. His role in the movie was amazing to me.

My mom has been helping my pop-pop clean out some stuff and they found these old photos which I promptly stole to scan into my computer. I'm such a sucker for old*timey photos.

Well.....I think I'm going to attempt the whole scrapping thing again...

Today was such a good day in so many ways...

1. I got to sleep in and was able to totally forget all about work....

2. I treated myself to a pedicure!

3. Troy and I went and saw the new batman movie...a total must see! Wow....

4. Came back home for a bit and took some pictures of age 27 me...

5. Went back out and had dinner at Carrabba's! Enjoyed my most favorite meal there...pollo rosa maria and garlic mashed potatoes...though by the time the entree came, I was so stuffed I took one bite of chicken and 2 bites of mashed potatoes and then had the waitress box it up for me...*sigh*...so good!

6. Then, we went to the ultra-yum Marble Slam Creamery and had ice*cream. Perfect finish to a hot summer evening in Florida!

It was a good day.

Been enjoying my weekend the past couple of days. Yesterday, Troy had to work day shift, so I was on my own all day. I ran some errands and stopped at Hobby Lobby since they were having a sale on stickers. I scored these alphas (as if I don't have enough of them already!) at 50% off! YAY!

Last night, Troy and I went over to David & Emilie's apartment for the 1st time! We had yummy chinese food! And I experimented a little bit with taking pictures at night. I have yet had time to really sit down and go through the camera manual, so I'm still just using the "auto" mode.

My birthday is next week and I just don't feel like I'm actually turning 27. I can't believe that in just 3 short years, I'll be hitting 30..wow. makes me feel SOOOO old.

It's been hot, hot, hot here. And I'm so NOT happy about all the wonderful tropical activities that have been going on. I don't want any hurricane's and/or tropical storms visiting us this year. I really don't.

Work is work. Some days I really enjoy my job and some days I really don't. Friday was one of those days where everything you do just seems to fall apart. It was a really bad day and I was so happy when the clock hit 5:00. I was out that door REALLY fast!

I'm planning on getting some scrapping done this afternoon. Think I'll hit up the challenge blogs and find out what are the latest challenges posted.

I just realized that I last blogged like...well...I don't even remember when. It's been a while.

Life has been crazy busy with work. I enjoy my job, but man, some days it is just beyond stressful. And next week, I work from 10:00am to 7:00pm..not going to enjoy that.

I got the awesome Red Velvet Art Paper and Project kit in the mail today! And WOW! Loved every bit of it. In fact, used it to make most of my project for the next mojo challenge!

Been so loving my camera! How did I ever get along with it!

Happy*Birthday.......

....to me! A little early - 25 days early...but guess what the hubs bought me Friday night!!!!! Finally, finally...I own a Canon Rebel XT!!!!!!!!!! I have been snapping pictures like crazy...I can't get over how clear and precise they are compared to my poor little camera I was using that has been very faithful but it finally has bit the dust...

I can finally take pictures of layouts in the house and get a decent picture! I can get decent closeups...I'm in camera heaven!

Here is my layout for the challenge...I really loved completing this layout. I really tore into the paints, alcohol inks, pens, & glimmer mist on this one. I tore up a vintage piece of sheet music and layered and stitched all over. I broke 3 sewing machine needles doing this layout...lol.

Didn't really do anything to spectacular yesterday for the 4th. I do have a 4 day weekend for the holiday - but, the hubs had to close the store last nite, so he didn't get home until after 2:00 in the morning. So, I rented a couple of movies from Blockbuster: "Fool's Gold" and "Valley of Elah". I only watched "Fool's Gold" last nite - and it was so*so. Definitely not all they cooked it up to be in the previews of it. Glad I waited to rent instead of going to the theatre. I think that the "Valley of Elah" looks like one Troy will like - so, I am going to wait for him to get home tonite to watch that one. What else have I watched lately....oh, we watched "The Bucket List". That was pretty good....I'm feeling the want to go to the movies, but nothing is playing that sounds good to me. Troy wants to see that "Wall-e" movie. I have absolutely NOOOOO desire to see that. I can't stand pixar movies at all. I don't know why - but, they just totally irritate me. Oh, I know what else we watched - that movie "10,000 BC". That was a very odd movie. I guess I'm just not into the whole fantasy kind of movies. I have a very hard time watching shows/movies that are so not real life. Like the show "Walker Texas Ranger". I cannot stand that show. It reminds me too much of the Hardy Boys books....geez. They always had exactly what the needed, when they needed it. Whatever.

Ok - so that was my rant for the day.
